Eastleigh, in the County of Hampshire, lies on the banks of the River Itchen. The area was originally villages until the 19th Century, when Eastleigh was developed as a railway town by the London and South Western Railway.

What is Eastleigh Town Council?

Eastleigh Town Council is a brand new Council, established on 1st April 2022. The role of the Town Council is to ensure that Eastleigh is a thriving community and a healthy, vibrant and attractive place in which to live, work and visit. The Town Council will undertake this by working collaboratively, not only as an ambitious and committed team of Councillors and staff, but also with a range of external strategic partners.

Meetings

See the Meetings page for details of upcoming meetings of the Council. 20 minutes is set aside at the start of each meeting for public participation. Please join us and have your say on the issues that affect you. You’ll be made very welcome.

Allotments

Whether you are an experienced grower or newly interested in producing your own fruit and vegetables, we may have a suitable plot at one of our allotment sites.

Community Grants

Events

Eastleigh has a long and proud history of wonderful community events. Although we’re a brand new Council, we will be looking to put on events in the not too distant future.

Greening Campaign

Eastleigh Town Council has signed up to the Greening Campaign. This Campaign aims to unite the community to tackle climate change. See the Greening Campaign page for further details

Our team is ready to help you

Eastleigh Town Council comprises of 17 Councillors, representing 5 different Wards. Councillors are elected every 4 years. They set the budget, decide the strategy and actions and decide how money is spent. Each May, at the Annual meeting, a Chair and Vice Chair is duly elected.
